3C - Cost Cutting Concept

3C - Cost Cutting Concept

Results of the 3C Concept (Cost Cutting Concept)

“5 % more yield with 60 % less fuel and 60 % less time” – this strapline shows the potential benefits gained from converting from a conventional to a conservation soil tillage system.

The background behind this calculation lies in the results of field trials, which Amazone has carried out in conjunction with the farming company AG Kitzen (based near Leipzig), and in cooperation with the DLG test centre and the FAL (Federal Agricultural Institute) Braunschweig (today known as vTI).

You can download here a detailed overview of these trials results as a PDF.

''Amazone Active'' at a glance

'Amazone Active' im Überblick

“Amazone Active” is the slogan attached to numerous farming and research projects surrounding the topic of Intelligent Crop Production. In cooperation with farms and scientific institutions, AMAZONE has created the infrastructure that includes an extensive and close network of contacts to ensure an in-depth knowledge exchange between agriculture, science and industry. This enables Amazone to constantly develop new user optimised concepts and cost-reducing operational systems for its customers.

The 8-page brochure, which you can download as a PDF, provides you with an overview as to the background behind the activities in relation to “Amazone Active“.

The continuously updated results from the different trials sites you can find under the trials tab.

The book about the ''3C Concept''

Das Buch zum 3C - Cost Cutting Concept

Any recommendations for the optimisation of the steps within the processes of stubble cultivation, deeper soil tillage and sowing as well as fertilisation and crop protection vary dramatically depending on climatic regions and farm and field structures. Nevertheless they can be traced back to different basic guidelines which AMAZONE has developed in relation to the 3C farming concept.

AMAZONE has published these guidelines in the book “Intelligent Crop Production, Part 1: The 3-C farming concept“.

You can download this book (5th edition, published in May 2016) which includes all the Amazone trial results as well as the experiences of numerous end users from practical farming situations, here as a pdf file.
