Innovations from Amazone

On 12th February, 2009 Messrs. AMAZONE, Grimme, Krone, Kuhn, Lemken and Rauch, 6 prestigious enterprises for agricultural technology, founded the association Competence Center   ISOBUS (CCI) .

The noticeable sign for the successful work of CCI is the gold medal which was awarded at the AGRITECHNICA 2009. With this medal the innovation commission has distinguished the standardised operating concept of the ISOBUS terminals CCI 100 and 200 as standardised operating concept. 

The strippers on the singling units of precision air seeders prevent double placement and gaps when singling seeds. Previously, the position of the stripper finger always had to be adjusted by hand, if the seed consistency changed, for example. This would involve quite a lot of set-up time and would be the cause of many errors.
For the first time, the new smartControl system for the EDX precision air seeder from AMAZONE enables fully automatic position control for the strippers. The stripper setting can now be automatically adapted on-line (i.e. while the machine is in use) to fluctuations in grain size and different forward speeds, so that a constant, optimum singling quality is always achieved. The Innovations Commission at AGRITECHNICA 2009 has awarded the smartControl system a silver medal.
